Gregg Wilkes Brings Broad Consumer Electronics Experience to Torrent Executive Team

Needham, MA–April 9, 2009 — Torrent, Inc., a new provider of high quality electronics that merges technology innovation with eco-friendly design, today announced the expansion of its management team with the appointment of Gregg Wilkes as Vice President Sales. Wilkes is a seasoned sales executive with more than 20 years of success in the creation, expansion and optimization of sales organizations and revenue through aggressive channel strategies. As Vice President Sales at Torrent, Gregg is responsible for sales and channel development, retail and professional installer relationships, reseller training, and channel promotions. He reports directly to Torrent CEO and founder Craig Palli.

Prior to Torrent, Gregg was the Vice President of Sales at Sling Media, makers of the Sling Box. Gregg spearheaded the launch of Sling Media products into over 5,000 retail and online channels which ultimately lead to a successful sale to EchoStar Technologies for $380 million. Wilkes has successfully built sales organizations, revenue, and market share for several global companies including Digi International, Entrega Technologies, 3Com Corporation, and US Robotics.

Torrent's initial product lines are slated for availability in mid- 2009 through select resellers and professional installers.
